Mission Blog 2013

IMG_1262Cathy and I are currently getting things ready for our Trip to Tanzania on Monday.   We will post along the way and keep you up to date on what we are doing and experiencing.   I have to say that I am excited to be going back to a place that I have grown to love.   The land and the people are extraordinary.    I hope you will enjoy looking over our shoulders as we travel about and work on our projects.    This year we will be replacing the server and several computers at Kasulu Bible College. IMG_1263  Back in 2006, we installed the first computers with solar power and satellite Internet service.   Now in 2013, they have government supplied electric power and they have DSL Internet.     As the computers have aged, it’s time to freshen things up a bit.  We’ve got lots of new equipment as you can see.   And we’ll be picking up more equipment once we get to Dar Es Salaam.

Hello friends!   I’ve not made a post to the blog in a while.   I wanted to share this video with you from Musagara Church which is out in the very western edge of Tanzania in Kigoma province, not far from the Burundi border.    The worship service we attended here was 6 hours long.    Hard to believe as the time did seem to go by quickly in some respects.    Here is the pastor of the church who was just appointed the district leader for this part of the diocese.   And how does one celebrate that?     Singing and dancing and leading the congregation in a worship song of course.    Enjoy!!
